Powder blushers are really popular and are great for that soft elegant finish.  This blusher is great to use over matte foundation as it complements the matte texture really well.

The Crownbrush 10 matte and shimmer blush palette can be used as contour, bronze and blush in colours from light pink to deep dark pink as well as a couple of neutral shades perfect for adding depth and giving a polished finish to any make-up look.  This palette is presented in a matte black case ideal for travelling and easy storage and cleaning.

A beautiful bouquet of hues, from plush peaches and jazzy pinks to intense reds, blooms in both creamy mattes and iridescent shimmers. This face makeup palette will keep you glowing all year long!

Blusher Swatches:

Karla’s Top Tips for applying blusher

There are so many ways to apply blusher. You can not only achieve different looks by using different blusher shades , but by applying blusher in different ways can give you different looks once you know how to apply them correctly.

The Classic blush Look:

A classic blush looks great on everyone.  To apply using SS013 Deluxe Angle Blush brush with your chosen powder blush shade over the apple of the cheeks and run the blush along the cheekbone towards the temple.  You can make this look really structured with a strong line along the cheekbone, or you can make this look more subtle with a softer line along the cheekbone.

Applying blush to contour face shapes

Contouring products like foundations, bronzers and liquid highlighters can all help balance out our face.  However you can do this with blusher as well.  The ideal face shape is an oval one, you can find your face shape from looking at the following face plans I did If you want to alter the shape of your face with blusher contouring follow these simple rules:

Round face:

If you have a round face shape then you want to draw attention away from the side of the cheeks. To do this apply blush on the cheeks and towards the ear.  The blush will act as a shader and narrow the face.

Square face:

For this face shape you want to draw attention to the centre of the face, rather than along the jaw line and forehead.  For this shape apply blusher towards the centre of the cheeks rather than towards the ear.

Long face:

For this face shape you may want to make the appearance of your face look wider than it is.  To do this with blusher, apply it directly along the cheekbones to highlight and draw attention to the width of the face.

Oval:
This is classed as the perfect face shape! I simply apply blusher to the apples of the cheeks.

I hope this helps many of you when applying blusher from The Crownbrush 10 shade blusher palette. It's now online (It was out of stock for ages) and is only £14.99!

Ombre Pink Lip Art Tutorial

Ombre seems to still be the beauty buzz word for this season and it looks like it’s here to stay! It refers to the process where two colours blend into one another creating a gradient effect and it looks a massive trend for Spring/Summer still so when I was thinking of creating looks to inspire you all I couldn’t help but resist and create this lip art look for you all to follow and be inspired by.

I opted for a bright fuchsia mixed with a white!

Step 1:
Make sure lips are exfoliated first and place a touch of primer or light base colour to keep the lip design in place longer using the Crownbrush Foundation/Camouflage Corrector palette

Step 2:

Start by lining the lips with the C160 1/8 Angle liner brush picking up a fuchsia pink. I used my Face paints mixing in the with the brightest pink lipstick from the Crownbrush 32 Lip Palette It has a gorgeous creamy texture which makes the face paint and lipstick blend together beautifully.

Step 3:

Now add a dash of white cream to the fuller part of the lip,I used the lightest shade from the Crownbrush Foundation/Camouflage Corrector palette  .You then can take your finger and soften and blend the pink and white colours together for a gradient effect.

Step 4:
For a Matte effect taking the brightest pink matte eyeshadow shade from the Crownbrush Smoke It Out Palette I then carefully set the outer pink lined area only
with C416 Sable Lip brush!! Finally taking C123 Mini Chisel
brush using the white matte eyeshadow from the Smoke It Out Palette and apply to the fuller part of the lip area
This is optional but you can also layer on a clear gloss to make the lip effect pop more! I think I prefer it matte. Which look do you prefer?

Remember, go for bold block colours and get creative!

The Crownbrush 613 7 Piece HD Set

HD Brushes have been making a big impact in the beauty industry to work alongside HD photography and filming. The 613 7 Piece Crownbrush HD Set is a combination of quality dense Nylon bristles for precise application which are perfectly adapted to the new generation of cream and liquid make-up, and are becoming increasingly popular with professional make-up artists. Used with powder shadows, they pick up smaller quantities of product, producing extremely subtle effects for a flawless high definition finish. The 7 piece set comes in patent leather case which is 210 mm Long, 140mm Width (closed), 285mm Width (Open) with a Mixing Palette and Spatula. The best thing about this set is that it's only £29.99!

Check out a short Vine video I did on the set at Crownbrush HQ:

What's in the 613 7 Piece HD Set?

Powder - 190mm Long, Tip Length - 45mm
A medium sized extremely soft jumbo powder brush for a flawless high definition finish. The compact head of bristles is perfect for applying setting powder or dusting bronzer for a sun-kissed look.

Foundation
My favourite foundation brush in my make-up kit ever! In fact I wish Crownbrush sold this alone as I would have loads. It allows me to use cream and liquids to create a flawless base and contouring along the jawline and cheekbones!

Blush
This is actually labelled as 'Blush' However I would simply call this 'Multi -Use' The techniques are endless with this brush. It's Small, dense rounded head gives a fingertip-like application when Applying cream/powder blush along the cheekbones and is also perfect for placement of cream/powder contour on the hallows of the cheeks. I have also been known to use it to place a primer/base on the lids too.

Blending Crease
Using just the tips of this brush to apply colour, sweep back and forth through the crease for a diffused and blended finish! Its amazing with creams and powders.

 Oval Shadow
With it's stiff oval shape, this brush provides a sheer, more controlled application of powder Eye Shadow which I love using to blend a smoky eye out. I feel like I have so much control with this brush for blending rather than using a larger blending brush and opt for this brush when creating all my eye looks so again another brush from this set I can't live without.

Pointed Liner - 155mm Long, Tip Length 5mm
The perfect brush for thin and precise application of liner when using gel or liquid liners.

Metal Mixing Plate and Double Sided Spatula

This is one of my Professional Essentials. Whether you’re mixing cream-based or liquid makeup, holding excess product, or applying on the skin, this kind of palette is always durable and good for a bustling shoot schedule. The palette has enough room to put moisturiser, foundations, concealers, gel liner, eyelash glue, lipsticks, and glosses on the palette and comes with double ended mental spatula to pick up most of your products to place on the palette.
I do tend to use the back of my hand a lot for my palette however when I am mixing up a lot of products this palette comes out to play. I simply wipe it down and place back in my make-up kit and take home to clean for the next shoot/event.

The 613 7Piece HD Set is available to buy online >here<

Become our Affiliate at Crownbrush!

We are delighted to have our brand new Affiliate programme up and running this week where we are looking for First Class, Beauty, Fashion Orientated websites and blogs to join our affiliate programme! The Crownbrush affiliate programme is a great way to make extra income from your website, Your Social Network or Your Friends. All you have to do is either place a Crownbrush image Banner or a Crownbrush Textual link in front of your audience and when a visitor clicks through and makes a purchase you get paid your commission! Yes that simple.

How Affiliate Advertising Can Help You Earn Money from Your Blog?

Affiliate marketing is a strategy where affiliates promote their merchant’s products through their own devices and receive money from every sale made. The three most common payment arrangements are: pay-per-sale, payper-lead, and pay-per-click. The Crownbrush affiliate works when a customer enters the Crownbrush site using your affiliate link, you will then earn commission on the first order that they place. You can see how much commission you have earned under the 'Commission' tab in your account, once you are signed up and have been approved. Please note that you will only be able to request a withdrawal if your balance goes over £25 or more, so the more people clicking your links and you blogging about Crownbrush products the more money you are going to make ;)

Once you have been accepted into the affiliate program, you will receive a unique affiliate link that corresponds to the Crownbrush website. This affiliate link is very important, as it is the only way to track a sale made through your efforts. When you post your link in a YouTube video, blog post, tweet, etc anyone who clicks on it will be re-directed to the Crownbrush website. From there, if the viewer decides to purchase a product, you will receive 10% commission from the order they place. The amount of commission made solely depends on the affiliate and how they choose to promote Crownbrush and its products. Whether it is through a banner advertisement, product review, or giveaway, it is up to the affiliate to decide which marketing strategy works best for their viewers.

Affiliate marketing is a great tool for bloggers and YouTubers to use and is very easy and flexible to work with. There are no requirements or restrictions about how often or how much you talk about Crownbrush, but generally you will earn more income from the program the more you promote it.

Many bloggers are eager to find revenue streams to help monetize their blogs. Once your blog is established and receiving some traffic, you may want to begin researching affiliate programs that could allow your blog to put money in your pocket so this program with Crown is perfect if this is something you are looking to do on your blog.
